Jill's 4th Birthday: Frozen Fun

As I previously posted, Jill has taken quite a liking (some might say obsession) to the new Disney movie Frozen.  So, for our sweet birthday girl we attempted to make our dining room into a winter wonderland to celebrate her birthday.  Although outside it was unseasonably warm on Saturday (which made for a beautiful day...definitely the warmest birthday that Jill has had), inside it was snow flakes, icicles, and Frozen Fun!

 

 

 

Kate are Jill are in love with the Frozen soundtrack, so we decided to incorporate a karaoke sing-a-long into the party.  Here, Jill and Adelaide are belting out "Let it Go."  Idina Menzel's got nothing on them.

Happy birthday Jilly bean!  We love you so much and are so thankful for you.  I can't wait to see what this year holds in store for you.

An early birthday celebration for Jilly

Jill, like many of her preschool-set peers, has found a new obsession in the Disney movie Frozen.  She and Kate are both huge fans, but I think Jill has attached in a more significant way.  After all, it's not often that a January birthday girl gets a brand new, winter-friendly Disney princess to plan her party around.  I do appreciate the sisterly love that is depicted in the movie, which is an extra special element for Kate and Jill.  At any rate, Jill has most definitely requested a Frozen birthday party, which I am planning for this weekend with a few of our friends.  In the meantime, during our recent visit to see the grandparents in Elkhart, my mom decided to throw Jill her own version of a Frozen-party (because they can't make it to Austin on Saturday).  What sweet grandparents my kiddos have!  This lucky little girl will get to celebrate with two parties this year.  :)

 The extended Ralph family gathered at my mom and dad's for a wonderful time together.  So much to be thankful for!

Kate's First Day of 1st Grade

Sweet Kate headed off to first grade this morning.  She was brave, but Mom -- not so much.  I cried all the way home.  So hard to see her growing up, but how thankful we are that she is becoming a kind and thoughtful young lady.  And, we're even more thankful that, just last week, Kate decided to follow Jesus. We are blessed beyond measure!
